Stephanie ThielDr. Attila Fabian is from Hungary. He has a Ph.D in engineering sciences from University of Sopron. He is currently an Assistant Professor and a Head of the Institute at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at University of West Hungary. He has served as the Secretary of EuPRA between 2000-2012. He worked as the President of the organisational committee of the scientific conference called "Natural Culture and Globalisation", also took part in the establishment of the Europe Memorial Park at Fertörákos. He founded the Regional Science Association in Sopron.

His major areas of research interest include the impact of macro-economic processes onto forest management and wood industry, environment management in the macro-level processes, environmentally friendly wooden products, investigation of ethical behaviour of foreign investors in wood industry, integration of Central –Eastern Europe to the EU, economics of the EU, international economics and diplomacy, conflict research and children's abuse.
